Detailed planning permission has been granted for a major redevelopment of an important site in Wooler, Northumberland. The Ferguson family are looking to clear the site and build a major new visitor attraction consisting of a distillery, visitor centre and restaurant. It is expected to create around 50 jobs.
The site is located in a prominent position on the main A697 and is within the Wooler Conservation Area.
