Planning permission has been granted for our client to refurbish, modernise and extend an existing farmhouse on a sensitive coastline in Northumberland. The proposals included a large extension and the conversion of an outbuilding into additional accommodation.
JT Planning were appointed to collate and lodge a planning application working alongside a team of Consultants including THAA Architects, Ecologist and a specialist on costal erosion to advise on the site’s position adjacent to coastal waters.
An earlier, contemporary design was withdrawn because of concerns raised by the Planners, but our client is more than pleased with the more traditional approach that gained planning consent.
