During 2026 JT Planning has been appointed to advise on development proposals for a number of prestigious golf courses in the North East of England and Edinburgh. Each proposal constitutes a major development and includes a range of changes including new driving ranges; importation of material to reconfigure land levels; and reconfiguration of playing holes such as creating new greens, bunkers and water features.
JT Planning is the lead consultant and pulls together a range of disciplines to provide expert advice including Ecologists, Drainage Engineers, Architects and Environmental Consultants. Planning applications are expected to be lodged for each site later in the year.
The plans below illustrate proposals at Pumpherston Golf Course in Livingston, near Edinburgh, Scotland. As part of this commission we were required to undertake two public consultation events to establish the views of local residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
