The Boat Yard

We have recently lodged a planning application for 54 luxury apartments on a quayside site in Amble, Northumberland. The site is currently a boat yard and is surrounded by existing development, including residential. After receiving a positive pre-application response from the local authority our client has decided to lodge a formal planning application. The site’s sensitive location in a prominent, town centre position is a key planning issue to address. The planning work has required extensive collaboration with various professionals to cover issues including design, conservation, highways, ecology and drainage. If approved, the development would deliver a wide range of benefits including affordable housing, public art and regeneration.
