We have recently received planning permission for two contemporary homes in the Northumberland open countryside. After receiving a positive pre-application enquiry our client decided to lodge a formal planning application. The site’s sensitive location in open countryside is a key planning issue to address but the site is well related to settlements nearby. The client is keen to pursue a contemporary development of its time and incorporate various sustainable construction techniques to respect the environment and reduce the need to use fossil fuels. The site’s woodland setting is also a critical matter and the design carefully respects existing tree cover.
